Our Pea in the Pod is 4 months!

Weight/Length: We have his 4 month appointment on Wednesday at 9:15, so I will know the exact measurements then. It is always fun to guess, so here I go. I am going to guess the nugget is 15 pounds and 23 inches in length.

Eating: Noah feeds every two to three hours during the day. He is still just on mommy’s milk, but we did let him try a little bit of banana this past week. He smiled very big!
That's right, cheer yourself on little buddy!

I will be interested to see what the doctor thinks about solids. I have a feeling she will want us to wait until six months because he is already a chub and doing fine just with milk. We bought rice cereal back when he was two weeks old-dreaming of the days he would sleep through the night, so if she gives me the go ahead, we might bust out the cereal this month.
Notice the endless chub rolls...

Bedtime/ Awake:  So homeboy got a little bit off schedule the past two weeks. He had been sleeping through the night, but I think the four month growth spurt hit and he was growing and needing more food throughout the day and night. It made for some long days at work, but I pray we are back to 10 hour spans of sleeping. He has been doing that the past two nights again, so we are one foot in the right direction. There is also a possibility of teeth coming in. This nugget is drooling non-stop, irritable when eating sometimes, and just seems a little fussier. I am going to ask the doctor on Wednesday for her opinion. If this is the case, then we will be buying teething tablets and mouth gel as soon as possible.

Oh Hey Dadddddy-OOOOOOOO!

Diapers: He is in 2’s. I’d say we change him about 6 to 8 times a day depending on the blow outs. We have a rooter tooter.

Nom Nom Nom

Mr. Personality
Clothes: He is in 3 month or 3 to 6 months outfits. He is growing like a weed- well all but the hair. He looks bigger every time I get him out of his crib.
Favorites: He loves to stand up and look around. He constantly wants to be stimulated and played with- makes for lots of trips to stores, parks, friends’ houses, restaurants, etc. He loves bath time and splashing around. Noah’s two newest and favorite finds are his hands and feet. He found his hands a while back, but on 2.21 he found his feet. Noah thinks they are great and loves to grab onto them.

Block Feet Party of One

Dislikes: Noah Walker doesn’t like to go too long without a nap. He doesn’t like losing his pacifier. He also doesn’t like being swaddled and put down if he doesn’t think it is time to sleep.

My Boys!
Tricks: He can sometimes hold his bottled of pumped milk if he is in the mood. He can stand up while holding onto our hands and do the “stanky leg”. He takes one step forward and then stops. It looks like he is dancing- that is why we deemed it the “stanky leg.” He is cooing and talking all the time. We haven’t really heard any change in syllabuls yet, but according to the bump, we should hear things that sounds like baba, dada, mama, etc. fairly soon. He can’t really sit up yet, but the bumpo is helping him gain the strength. Probably my favorite trick of the month is that he recognizes Matt and me. His face lights up when we enter the room. He knows when both of us are talking to him and will track us all around the room if somebody else is holding him.  People always marvel at how aware he is for a four month old. It makes for a very proud mommy and daddy.

Ok Mom, Get some clothes on me already.

It is incredible how much he has grown this month. I recently have been challenged with this verse, and I hope to memorize and abide by it always.

Psalm 112:1-2
Praise the LORD!
How joyful are those who fear the LORD
and delight in obeying his commands.
Their children will be successful everywhere;
an entire generation of godly people will be blessed.

  1. He is such a cutie patootie!! The last picture, while not the best of Noah, is fantastic of the two of you! :)

If he is drooling, the teeth are coming! Judi had 2 teeth at 4 months, so it wouldn't be out of the question if Noah did too. (However, not sure if that is a Clem thing or a Weinfurter thing.) Matt nor Aaron had teeth as early as Judi did.

Love this blog, thank you for spending the time keeping it up, I so enjoy it not being able to see him and you guys!
