Deacon is Two Months!

Weight/Length- We go a week from Friday. At his one month, he was 9 pounds 4 ounces. I predict that he will be around 11 pounds 6 ounces.

Eating- Deacon eats every 2.5-3 hours. He will sometimes eat around every 2 right before he goes down- cluster feeding before the big sleep. He still is on mama’s milk.

Bedtime/Awake- Deacon consistently gives me around 6-8 hours of sleep at night. I feed him around 8:00 to 8:30. Matt does the dream feed around 11:30 to midnight. He then will sleep until around 6-7:30.

Diapers- We are using up our last newborns. He is ready for the 1’s.

Clothes- Deacon is in 0-3 months and 3 months.

Dislikes- There isn’t much Deacon dislikes. He is our easy going second child that will sit in his car seat, lay in his swing, and go with the flow. Tummy time is not his favorite, but he will do it if you catch him in the right mood. He does have the bewitching hour some nights around 7-9 where he is just fussy. It usually is from the overstimulation during the day. I’m so thankful he doesn’t mind be carted around on my errands or our outings to the park. He is rarely fussy during the day.

Likes- Deacon loves the baby carrier. He doesn’t want to face me, he wants to see the world. I usually have him in it during the mornings while I’m getting breakfast ready and cleaning up. He is a big fan of the swing and the mobile that comes with it. He will lay in there for an hour (and usually fall asleep). Baths are still a real treat for him. He loves his changing table and offers lots of smiles when he is given a fresh diaper.

Favorite memories of the month- there are too many. I am planning on doing a December catch up post. I ended up taking a sabbatical and have some pretty sweet pictures of the boys and family.

Deacon is absolutely the perfect addition to our family. He is this sweet bundle of joy that offers lots of smiles and is starting to coo. Noah is VERY fond of him and continues to be my biggest helper.  I could not imagine life without these two sweet boys and their daddy.
