Along: 20 weeks
Size of baby: Clementine is the size of a small cantaloupe. His/her bones continue to ossify and toughen while his/her finger and toe pads and unique finger prints are finishing up. (We saw all ten fingers and all ten toes today).Clementine has teeth buds sprouting beneath his/her gum line. He/she is 10.5 inches and 10.5 ounces and as cute as a button-ok, I’m bias. Total Weight Gain/Loss: I’m guessing 6 pounds.
Maternity Clothes: Mixture of both. The workpants are officially too small. I will be wearing a lot of leggings and dresses for the next 20 weeks. I also have some clothes my co-worker let me borrow that I still need to try on and sport.
Gender: It’s a secret-well, for now. The big blog reveal will be on Sunday. Matt and I are going to do a cake-ball surprise for both sides of our family on Saturday. His mom happen to be coming in this weekend along with my grandparents, so we figured it would be so much fun to have them all together to share the BIG news. If the cake ball inside is green, it’s a BOY. If it is pink, it is a GIRL.
Movement: This little nugget was going crazy today at the sonogram. He/she would not sit still. The sonogram gal had a hard time getting the shots she wanted at first because of all of Clementine’s movement. At one point, I could feel him/her moving and was watching the movement on the screen. Clementine looked like he/she was digging into my stomach with his/her little feet. I already LOVE this baby and his/her digging skills so much .
Sleep: I have had a hard time falling asleep and staying asleep. I still try to get at least 8 hours a night, but it’s been tough. After a couple nights of restless sleep, I will usually have a night where I am knocked out.
What I miss: I don’t miss much.
Cravings: Snickers, Fruit (bananas, mangos, and apples), Kashi cereal
Symptoms: I have the typical back pain, sore hips, and body aches. The Charlie horses happen some at night. All worth it for the healthy tike!
Best Moment This Week: Matt and I had a townlake day on Saturday. We had tons of fun in the sun, enjoyed fajitas at Chuy’s, and dinner at the Oasis. We also had a double date with Ashley and Luke at our house on Friday night. We are so glad they are back!! J The best part of the week was today and finding out the gender. I have already classified Clementine as my wild child. The movement was amazing to watch. At one point the baby was waving, munching on his/her hands, sitting up, laying down, kicking all around, crossing legs, and so much more. Seriously, the sonogram was the best.
This little marmet was so cute. He was right off the trail hanging out with buddy pigeon, washing up.
I tried to be a good paddler. It's tough work.
Luckly, Matt was okay with doing most the work.
Eventually, I decided it was time to sunbathe.
Let's just say I received some really CUTE tan lines from this trip!
COUNTDOWN:
2 more days until Matt’s mom arrives from Virginia!
2.5 months until Matt starts school.
20 weeks until the baby is DUE!
So happy for you guys! We find out the gender of our baby next week. We still really want to get together with y'all!
