Our Pea in the Pod is 11 months

Weight/Length: 23.5 pounds and 29 inches long.

Eating: Noah has around 5 bottles a day and eats solids 3 times a day. He loves food and will try anything. We let him eat “dinner food” at most meals but still pull out the occasional square of Gerber apples, vegetables, or whatever. This month, I’d say his favorites are sweet potato pieces, bread, breakfast bars, and pears.

Bedtime/ Awake:  He still sleeps 12 hours a night with two naps during the day. These naps usually last around an hour and a half. It is so nice, and it allows for me to get work done.

Diapers: He is in 3’s.

Clothes:  9-12 month and 12 month clothes.

Favorites:  Noah is attached to a blue blanket, a stuffed bear, and his pacifier. He will go into his room and pull them out of his crib when it gets close to nap time or bed time. Noah loves to play with balls, trucks, and his toy house. When any type of electronic is around, he drops everything and heads straight for it. Noah is a mommy’s boy. He has shown attachment issues this month. He has to have mommy’s attention and wants to be held all the time. It is especially worse when he is teething. Noah loves people- at a restaurant last night, we faced him towards the ordering line. We were able to enjoy our meal and he entertained the guests. Noah is quite the flirt. Noah squeals at the sight of dogs. He loves little furry creatures- it is so cute.

I see a lot of this lately. HOLD ME!

Dislikes: Noah does not like to have his diaper changed. It is impossible and quite the task. Noah doesn’t like to be told “no.” We like to tell people that he has a sensitive spirit. He will usually listen and get this really guilty look on his face, but when he’s tired, the no becomes quite traumatic and he cries.
Thunder Thighs!

Tricks: Noah is walking and talking. He took his first steps on September 17th and has been on the go over since.  He still prefers to crawl, but the nugget can take up to 20 steps at a time. It’s amazing how the strength of his legs has developed. It’s so fun to watch. As for speaking Noah says “daddeee, mommeee, uh-oh, and hello” all in context. Our favorite trick this month is when Noah pulls up a remote, telephone, or hand to his ear and says “hello.” It’s so precious. He also can play peek-a-boo. This boy is so much fun! I have found toy phones in the toilet, a contact case on the toilet seat, a toy screw driver in the tub, and a block in the printer. This is by far my favorite age- he keeps us laughing, giggling, and on the go at all times.

Noah Hooks 'Em

It’s official. I tried to create a Baylor Bear out of this nugget, but it looks like the University of Texas may have already won his heart.

I love this picture- already putting his horns up at 11 months. Matt sings the "Eyes of Texas" to him all the time, so next thing you know, little boy is going to be belting out the song. I probably need to learn all the words to the "Baylor Line" to fight this bleeding burnt orange business.

Noah’s 11 month post to come this weekend.

Xoxoxo,

Natalie

He TRI-ED.

Matt TRI-DOMINATED.

Here are the pictures to prove it.

And the cheerleaders that supported him.

He inspired me. I want to do one now.

Wolf in Sheep's Clothing?

Matt sent me these pictures at work on Monday. I died laughing. I could not help but share. It's amazing how boys can entertain each other. I think Noah tootled around with this on his back for like an hour. :)

Doesn't look too thrilled to have this "monkey" on his back. Trying to shake it off!

Alright, here we go.

Also notice the baby scrubs are back on. Can't get enough!

Daddy, isn't my buddy CUUUUUUUTE?

Let's get out of here. Time to grub.

Triathlon pictures to come. J I am getting my camera Friday- I left it at my parents. Praise God they found it! Matt and I were super bummed to think it had been left somewhere. The Lord answered our prayers and gave the camera back to us. I love that we can give the God the little things and He provides. (Not always in the way we want, but this time, YES!)

I think I would have given about all the belongings in my apartment to have those pictures back when I thought we’d lost it. Pictures are so valuable.

Counting down the days until September 17th. Oh please come quickly.

Happy Labor Day Weekend!

Hope all is well for everybody this weekend. I'm counting down the days until this deadline is OVER for my work-then I'll celebrate my labor day holiday!
Tomorrow is a big day, Matt runs his first triathlon- pictures to come!

On a lighter note, I think this boy loves food just as much as his mama.

Happy Monday!
